My approach to therapy...

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that who you are makes sense—even when your emotions, behaviors, or relationships feel very different from what you want them to be. I believe our feelings carry wisdom, our behaviors serve important functions, and our current situation becomes clearer when seen in the context of our whole story. With this stance of curiosity and acceptance, I help you understand the parts of your life causing distress and support you in moving toward the life you want to live. I’m an ideal fit for clients who want to make meaningful behavioral changes while gaining insight into how those behaviors have served them.

I am an empathic therapist who brings a broad range of professional and personal experience to our work together. I offer a safe, judgment-free space where you can be your authentic self. After all, I didn’t become a therapist without first sitting on the other side of the couch. I believe that for therapy to truly be effective, you need to be willing to practice the skills we discuss outside our sessions. With your permission, I often assign goals, thought-provoking questions, or small written exercises to support your growth.

I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and believe in meeting clients where they are, while also challenging you when appropriate. I approach your story with empathy, curiosity, and kindness, providing realistic support and active engagement. I’m down-to-earth, collaborative, and I like to use humor when it fits.

Clinically, I blend evidence-based practices with a holistic, integrative approach tailored to each client. I incorporate elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychodynamic approaches, Gottman Method, Imago, and more. I continually expand my knowledge by integrating specialized research and interventions.
